Kirkbymoorside Town Team, is working to secure funding for the Town.

We are talking with Yorkshire Forward and Ryedale District Council about securing funding for these projects and will keep you informed as to how we do.  So far, so good.  We have got through the first round of securing sixty thousand pounds for the town.

If you're not already taking advantage of Peter Sinclair's youtube videos, you probably should be. Each week he examines a particular controversy in the field of climate science, explains it, and picks apart the often-dubious arguments of the climate deniers.

It's a valuable contribution, but if you're after something a bit more uplifting, Peter is now taking occasional breaks from being 'science geek with video skills' to concentrate on showcasing the technologies that we hope are driving the inevitability of a low-carbon future.

PostHeaderIcon Town Feast - An Annual Treat

Every year on the first Saturday of October, Kirkbymoorside holds its Town Feast.
A celebration of everything that is fresh and local and good about our food, we come
together in the Memorial Hall in the centre of Town, each bringing a dish of savoury or sweet treats.
As more and more people arrive, the tables start to fill up and the smells of home cooking tantalise us.
Its very much a help yourself buffet and no matter how many people come, there is always just enough.
Afterwards we clear the tables, order more drinks from the football club run bar and dance to one of our
great local bands.
Its a great evening, why not make sure you get your ticket early this year?
On sale, as usual, at Summit Bookshop, Penny Bank Cafe and Natural Health Centre.
Watch this space for availability.
