There is a doctors practice in Tinley Garth which provides a range of services. There are Health Visitors and visiting Consultants. 

This is augmented by a near-by complementary health centre, which provides a range of alternative treatments from Acupuncture to Reiki. There is a chemist in Kirkbymoorside, Towlers, which provides a full dispensing service, along with smoking cessation advice and all the usual patent medicines.  They also stock a wonderful range of toiletries, jewellery, and have the best wine range in town, having kept their liquor licence from the old pub the Green Dragon.
General advice on health matters is available at the surgery on Tinley Garth, as is specialist advice from Practice Nurses. However, Kirkbymoorside does not have an optician, the nearest being in Pickering. The dental practice is no longer accepting new NHS patients, the nearest being in Thirsk or York. Whilst this paints a positive picture it is recommended that work be done to ensure the appropriate level of service provision is maintained in the long term.
